ADMINISTRATION

The principles you will learn here can completely organize and empower your life. Milk them for all they are worth.

AIMING principles

1. Principle of OBJECTIVE

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)

Make a 'personal desires' list.
Make them 'bigger' than yourself

'Attempt something so big that it is bound to fail unless God intervenes.'

Of all of them, which is the most desirable?

  • Make yourself decide
  • Prioritize

2. Principle of COMMITTEMT

Personal -- irrevocable -- resolve to spend the rest of your life bringing it to pass.

The Christian life is sometimes like a trapeze act. You can swing on the bar, exercising and building muscles all you want. But if you want to excel, you have to let go, with nothing beneath you and reach out for the next trapeze bar. -- Paul Tournier

Set your committment in mental 'cement.' This is your reason for living, your committment to your destiny.

3. Principle of BELIEF POWER

  • Whatever the mind of man can conceive, and believe, it can achieve! -- Napoleon Hill
  • No man can soar higher than he is able to think by the grace of God. -- Dr. Bob Jones, Sr.
  • I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. -- Paul the apostle

If you have faith (belief power) as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, 'Be removed and cast into the sea!' and shall not doubt in your heart, but shall believe, it shall come to pass. Nothing will be impossible to you. -- Jesus of Nazareth

The actualization of belief will create its own reality.

4. Principle of POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT

Remember the good things that happen. Jot them down. Research your subject. Read books that motivate.

  • When God Whispers Your Name -- Max Lucado
  • The Purpose Driven Life -- Rick Warren
  • He Still Moves Stones -- Max Lucado
  • Success God's Way -- Charles Stanley
  • Can't Hurt Me -- David Goggins
  • Think and Grow Rich -- Napoleon Hill
  • Pay the Price -- Jack Knutson
  • 7 Habits of Highly Effective People -- Stephen Covey
  • Developing the Qualities of Success -- Zig Ziglar

5. Principle of TARGETING

Make a list as extensive as possible, of everything you must do in order to reach your objective.

Select three or four items from this list and work on them until they are completed.

If you don't know where you are going you will probably end up somewhere else!

It is as difficult to get to a place when you don't know where you are going, as it is to comeback from a place you've never been. -- Zig Ziglar

6. Principles of ORGANIZATION

A. PORTFOLIO principle:

Clear Statement of your objective(s)
Exhaustive list of all necessary steps (short range, intermediate, and long range)
Daily dairy
Graphs and flow charts.

B. Principle of TIME MANAGEMENT

Teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom. (Psalm 90:12)

This applies to WORK -- not PLAY. You need both. Life should never be tied to an inflexible schedule.

MANAGE YOUR WORK TIME

Managing your time at your place of employment
Your employer will likely assist you here. If not, google 'time management books.' Get one and study it.
Managing your time with your life-time goals<
We have already covered this. Do it. Don't pur it off or hold back.
Managing your time with God
Your time with God should never be controlled by the clock. On the other hand, it should not be spent contemplating your navel.

DO NOT 'MANAGE' YOUR PLAY

Ok, ok, I do understand that vacations do need to be planned. You should plan how to pack, how to get tickets if needed, etc.. But most of us tend to over-think and take things with us that we don't actually need or use.

Here is a seminal thought: What if you really did forget something. If you truly required it (e.g., toothbrush), you could probably buy one where you went -- otherwise maybe it would shape your character a little bit just to do without.

The chief thing is that you learn to relax, be still for once in your life, and enjoy.

Why do you think God made so many thing so beautiful if not for his people to enjoy them?

C. Principle of Level Attainment

Begin with main objective
Break into parts
Arrange parts into priority sequences
Use titles, or LEVEL HEADINGS
Begin with an easy level
Complete each level before going on
Go on the the next level

D. CONTINGENCY Principles

What are you going to do if you fail?

'Murphy's Law:' If it can fail, it usually will.

However, this principle concerns itself with . . .

MENTAL BOUNCE-BACK ABILITY!

Prepare for the worst. HOPE FOR THE BEST!

You can't lose them all.
GAME OF HORSESHOES: First tosses usually go wild. But the brains adjusts with each toss, until you hit "ringers" more often than you miss.

I would rather fail at somethiimng big than succeed at doing nothing.

Big success comes from a series of small successes and failures.

E. ADMINISTRATION Principles

1. Principle of MOTION
If you do nothing, you will achieive it.
You must be in motion if you expected to be guided (bicycle, automobile)
Doors to opportunity do not open easily
The door to opportunity swings on the hinges of opposition.
God will not reward you for doing nothinng.

Luke Skywalker: "I'll try, Yoda; I'll try."
Yoda: "Do, or do not!"

2. Principle of the PRIMED PUMP

Achievement does not take nearly as much work as it appears, once the pump is primed.

Mental programming (some call it brainwashing)

Read everything you can get your hands on

New ideas: Few things are more exciting than thinking of an idea and taking it as far as it can go.

Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out. (Proverbs 20:5)

3. Principle of IMPLEMENTATION

You need a starting point . . .

Begin with "step oone"
Do first item on your "Today List"
Do something on each item.

Keep the momentum going . . .

Variety and freshness is the key
Be creative. Provide time for it.

4. Principle of NEGATIVE NEGATON

There are plenty of people who wish to pour cold water on your hot idea.

JUST TURN UP THE FIRE!!!

Many great ideas have been lost forever because the people who had them couldn't stand being laughed at.

5.Principle of "NEED TO KNOW."

Who needs to know?
When do they need to know?

6. Principle of the LAUGHING PLACE

Secret place of personal enjoyment. Let NOBODY in there except those who will enjoy it as much as you do. This is your own personal retreat for mental, spiritual, physcal restoration.

Everybody needs a laughing place.
