Belief as An Actualizer

I give you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also love one another.
-- Jesus (John 13:34)

Hereby shall we know that we are of the truth and shall assure our heart before him, because if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then we have confidence toward God; and whatever we ask we receive of him, because we keep his commandments and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment: that we should . . .

BELIEVE IN THE NAME OF HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST, AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER . . .

even as he gave us cmmandment. And he that keeps his commandments abides in him and he in him . . .
(I John 1:19-24)

This is the focus and summation of all God-human relationships.

I. The Power of Belief in Conversion/Regenaration.

But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that BELIEVE on his name. (John 1:12)

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVES in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved . . . (Paul to the Philippian jailer)

II.The Power of BELIEF in the filling of the Holy Spirit.

Be not drunk with wine wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit. (Ephesians 5:18)

HOW?

As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk you in him. . . (Colossians 2:6)

Walk (live your life) in the Spirit! (Galatians 5:16)

How did you receive him?

By believing!

THEN BELIEVE YOU ARE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT -- AND YOU WILL BE!

III. The Power of Belief in the exercise of Spirituasl Power.

BELIEVE that you have the Spirit of God within you -- because you do -- and ACT ACCORDINGLY!

Power can only be limited if you choose not to use it. (Notice how this is stated. It does not say that if you are unconscious of spiritual power, that it is inoperative. It can only be limited if you deliberately choose to do so!)

Economy of power: God will only give you what you need to cope with a given circumstance. (Unfortunately, many people believe that if one possesses spiritual power, he then becomes a spiritual superman -- able to leap tall buildings at a siingle bound.)

IV. The Power of BELIEF in the Achievement of Personal Design.

• BELIEVE IN GOD'S DESIGN FOR YOUR LIFE
• BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH IT!

Being confident of this very thing: that he that has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)

For it is God that works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13)

God provides you with . . .

(1) Your own personal desire, and
(2) The motivation and power to bring it to reality.

BUT YOU MUST BELIEVE THAT!!!!

MEMORIZE THIS:

The actualization of BELIEF creates its own reality,

And repeat it to yourself often.
